Astorino Eye Center welcomes Dr. Jenny Hu, M.D., M.A.S

Meet Dr. Jenny Hu, a distinguished addition to the Astorino Eye Center team. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Duke University with Minors in Global Health and Chemistry, she furthered her education at the University of California, San Diego. Here, she earned her Medical Degree and a Master in Advanced Studies Degree in Clinical Research, supported by a National Institutes of Health TL1 grant. Dr. Hu's pioneering work in cost-effectiveness research within ophthalmology led to collaboration with physician-scientists nationwide, culminating in multiple publications and abstracts.

Dr. Hu's commitment to advocacy and patient care is palpable. Her passion for enhancing patient vision through comprehensive, personalized care is evident in her philosophy: "Vision is integral to our life experience. I find immense joy in granting patients improved vision and safeguarding this precious sense."

Her expertise encompasses premium cataract surgery, oculoplastic surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and refractive surgery including LASIK, PRK, and SMILE. She honed her skills under the tutelage of eminent figures like Dr. Don Kikkawa and Dr. Bobby Korn in oculoplastic surgery, and at the Balboa Naval Center for refractive surgery, including SMILE.

Dr. Hu remains an active member of prestigious organizations such as the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Proficient in Spanish and fluent in Mandarin, she balances her medical pursuits with figure skating, yoga, art, and documenting her culinary and travel escapades.

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Jenny Hu to the Astorino Eye Center, where her expertise and dedication will undoubtedly contribute to our pursuit of exceptional patient care.

He attained his Bachelor of Science degree in Ophthalmic Dispensing in Kent, England (2014). He has extensive experience, having managed his own practice for many years prior to arriving at Astorino & Associates Eye Center. He is a licensed American optician (ABOC) and is well-recognized for his quality of service, attention to detail, and patient care. He left our practice January 2024.
