Dr. Cahoon is an excellent doctor. He is patient, professional, and caring....which is amply demonstrated by the time he takes with each patient at every appointment. He pays close attention to any changes in my vision and the health of my eyes and takes time to explain everything clearly. I have tremendous confidence in his knowledge and judgment and comfort that I am receiving excellent care.

Dr. Mekhael recently spent a meaningful amount of time with me to ensure my prescriptions are correct for both my occupational (computer) eyeglasses and progressives. I have several pairs of each prescription, so getting both right is really important. I greatly appreciate her knowledge, professionalism, and kindness. She is part of a great group of doctors and professionals there!

Dr. Cahoon is the best eye doctor ever! He is calm, kind, and exceedingly competent. I have always been a "scaredy cat" with anything medical regarding the eyes, but I completely trust Dr. Cahoon with all my eye care. He is extremely thorough and I highly recommend him. And, the staff in this office is great as well!

I have had 3 great visits to Astorino Eye Care and am extremely impressed with the doctors and the staff. There is a unique and friendly culture in the office where patients are treated respectfully. Doctor Hu has been phenomenal and thorough and always on time and never in a hurry. I highly recommend them for eye care.

Jenny Hu did an amazing job throughout the entire process. From the very start she was very friendly, knowledgeable, professional and patient. She always took the time to answer any questions and concerns I had, and she made me feel comfortable along the way. I have had multiple surgeries in my life and by far she is the best doctor I have ever dealt with…she always had my best interests in mind. Highly recommended !

Dr. Barsegian saved my left eye that was threatened by high pressure. She inserted a tune that relieved the pressure and provided a long term solution to the problem. Besides being and highly accomplished surgeon Dr. Barsegian does a great follow up. She is unfailingly cheerful and careful. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

Outstanding Patient Experience. I can’t speak highly enough about my visit with Dr. Arpine Barsegian. Doctor Hu did a great job on the Cataract surgery she did on me. I am 88 years old and was nervous about the procedure. She kept me reasonably calm and the fact she seemed so sharp was a big factor also.

Dr. Hu is a marvelous physician who did an outstanding job on my cataract surgery. She informed me of what was happening at each step of the process and encouraged me to ask any questions before, during and after surgery. I cannot recommend her more highly. Thank you, Dr. Hu!

Dr. Barsegian has the knowledge and skillset of a doctor far beyond her years, and I have been very pleased and impressed by her expertise, professionalism, and friendly bedside manner. I was reluctant to have to visit an eye doctor at all, but under Dr. Barsegian’s care, I have been much more at ease.

One word sums it up. AMAZING! What a satisfying experience to now see "like an eagle". Cataract surgery was performed on both eyes by Doctor Astorino and I am now, after wearing corrective lenses for 75+ years, seeing 20/20 in one eye, 20/15 in the other. Those measurements were taken on the day after each of the surgeries. His entire staff and associated doctors all performed to the highest standards. My understanding of the process and my comfort always appeared to be their highest priority. Opting for Vivity Toric lenses after consulting with Doctor Astorino, I could not be happier with the successful outcomes.

I have been seeing Dr. Cahoun for over 6 months for a very challenging retina issue. He is so warm and compassionate; always alleviating my fears. He always takes the time to explain the pictures of my eyes giving me hope that my vision will get better. And it has!!! I was a practicing physician in Irvine for many years and I can say that I have never read so many wonderful comments about a Physician (Dr. Astorino) and his staff. My case was complicated and being a critical thinker, I asked many pointed questions about various aspects of my care and procedures. Dr. Astorino considered each aspect of my situation and prepared a plan of action which was of the highest standard of care. My operations were successful, and his gift of greatly improved sight feels almost unbelievable. It's wonderful to look out my window and again see the colors! I would highly recommend Dr. Astorino to anyone looking for great physician-patient interaction and communication as well as superior ophthalmology outcomes.

I went to astorino and Associates for a new pair of glasses yesterday. First, I looked them up online and was able to set up my appointment there during the weekend. The appointment function is a new feature on their website, but I was able to do it with no problem once I found it by clicking on the site menu icon (the three lines in the upper right-hand hand corner). The optician was there and ready when I arrived. I was able to pick out a set of frames and have the glasses made in store in less than 30 minutes. That was incredibly convenient since I needed the glasses quickly for a trip I will be taking! (Disclaimer: the lens blanks have to be in stock, and that is not always guaranteed.) The optician was incredibly knowledgeable and customer-friendly. even if you like the "cheap" throwaway glasses, I would still highly recommend going to him to get at least one pair of quality frames and lenses. You get what you pay for, but I feel that I got a great deal on a great pair of glasses...and a fantastic experience.

Looking for a good optometrist in Newport Beach - David Greening at Astorino and Associates Eye Center is wonderful. He is super knowledgeable and helpful. He always goes out of his way for his clients. And the docs at the Eye Center are fabulous too. Dr. Astorino and Dr. Ho are excellent. The whole team is super friendly and professional.

Astorino & Associates @ 1525 Superior Ave, Near Hoag in Newport Beach. This is a top notch practice that I have been going to for 3 years. They have an optometrist, an optician and good equipment in addition to Dr Astorino who has done minor surgery on me. He also brings in specialists as needed. Recommended by my primary care physician. I had been going to a Huntington Beach practice for 40 years.
